Most successful (in whatever domain you prefer) people at some point have left their place of origin. They went out in the world, whether that be a bigger city, or another country, and explored opportunities. You will meet people, culture and ideas in other places that transform you.

Staying in a small town gives you more of what you’ve already known since you were a child. You greet the same neighbours, work in the same cement factory year in and out and share the same political view as your group of friends. You’re choosing to live your life the way your parents chose when they’ve settled down. To become your own type of man, you will have to leave this life that was created for you, take all knowledge it gave you, and see what else the world has to show you. You will then become the fusion of your given childhood and your own experiences.

Once you’ve decided you’ve had enough, you can return to your small town as a transformed man. You now have made friends, gained financial resources, developed yourself intellectually and are ready to coast the rest of your life as a happy man. It is now you deliberately choosing a lifestyle, instead of being forced into the lifestyle.
