You see the successful man stepping out of his fancy car, donned in a luxurious outfit, with his girlfriend who is with him for the money by his side. All of this looks impressive and valuable. There is actual financial value in these things: the car and the clothes cost a fortune. Other than that, these things are not valuable, just hard to get.

True value lies in setting goals in line with your core values. It is valuable to feel satisfied intellectually, spiritually and emotionally. This, like the goals above, is hard to achieve.

Not everything that is difficult to get, is also valuable. Don’t confuse these two when deciding on your goals. Set goals that are of actual value to you and those around you.
